ASME SB338 Grade 7 refers to a specific standard and material specification for Titanium Alloy (Ti-0.2Pd). This material is engineered for applications demanding exceptional corrosion resistance and high strength in challenging environments.

The GR7 designation indicates a titanium alloy containing Titanium (Ti) as the base metal with 0.12% to 0.25% Palladium (Pd) as the alloying element. The palladium addition provides superior corrosion resistance, particularly in acidic environments and seawater, resulting in reduced maintenance requirements and extended service life compared to stainless steel or carbon steel alternatives.
